Godmothers son nabbed after 2 years

Kandhal Jadeja,son of erstwhile underworld don and MLA Godmother Santokben Jadeja,was nabbed by the Porbandar police from Nigadi,a town near Pune,on Saturday. He was brought to Porbandar and arrested on Sunday. Jadejas accomplice Raju Gada has also been arrested.

On a tip off,Jadeja was nabbed from a residential area in Nigadi. Our officials tracked him for four days before taking him into custody on Saturday, said SP Dipankar Trivedi. The department is in the process of handing him over to CID Crime, he added.

The eldest son of Santokben,who in the late 1990s led Porbandars underworld for control over the lucrative mining business,Jadeja had been living with a fake identity for two years now. He had got a fake driving license made in the name of Jeeva Natha Kadcha and told people that he ran a transport business, said Trivedi. Accused in over dozen cases,including that of murder,Jadeja had been absconding for over two years after he fled from Rajkot city police custody in February 2007.
