Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Kalyan Singh on Sunday demanded that the Centre give the 67-acre land acquired by it for construction of a Ram temple there. There is no dispute over the 67-acre land acquired by the Centre in Ayodhya. It should, therefore,be given for the construction of a grand temple of Ram, Kalyan, who was the CM when Babri Masjid was demolished in 1992,told reporters here. I have written a letter to the Prime Minister in this regard on Sunday, he said.

The former BJP leader said that the High Court has given its verdict on 1,500 square feet land, which was in question. If this 1,500 square feet land is divided in three parts, then only 500 square feet would be available for the construction of the temple which is insufficient, he said.
