BSP members in the Rajya Sabha created a furore over childrens deaths in Muzaffarnagar relief camps forcing the House to be adjourned thrice during on Monday. There were also protests over price rise and the Telangana issue.
As soon as Rajya Sabha assembled for the day,BSP and TDP members rushed to the well. The House was adjourned twice amid slogan-shouting. When the House reassembled at 2 pm,there was uproar again and was adjourned for the day.
At 11 am,BSP members trooped into the well to demand dismissal of UP government as they displayed newspaper clippings saying children had died in Muzaffarnagar relief camps. SP members too were on their feet raising the issue of price hike,but they could not be heard in the din.
Two TDP members displayed placards for united Andhra. Chairman Hamid Ansari asked members to return to their seats. As members did not pay heed to his request,he adjourned the House till noon. When the House reassembled,Satish Chandra Mishra BSP wanted to raise the issue of the death of 50 children in Muzaffarnagar relief camps due to cold.
As Deputy Chairman P J Kurien asked them to raise the issue later,BSP members,who were already on their feet,shouted slogans seeking removal of the SP government in UP. Similar scenes over the Telangana,price rise and Childrens death were seen in the Lok Sabha,too.
