Most mid-sized companies are still ill informed about capital structuring and equity fund raising: Madhuprasad

Fund raising through IPO and private equity route was the seminar held here today at the CII northern region headquarter that attracted several directors,chief financial officers and other key management personnel from companies in Chandigarh,Ludhiana and nearby belts.

Organized by the Keynote Group,a two decade old Mumbai based category1 SEBI registered merchant banker,the seminar gave an overview and evaluated various fund raising alternatives through the capital market route including an insight on SME exchange being the newly launched platforms by the Bombay Stock Exchange BSE and National Stock Exchange NSE.

Uday Patil,Director Investment Banking emphasized the need for increased participation of the SME sector in capital market. Commenting on Private Equity funding,he said that the most important aspect for family owned companies is to market and position their companies to lure private equity investors.
