FHA 2010 returns for stronger showing

FHA2010 is well-positioned to play a pivotal role in contributing to Asias growing food and hospitality industries.

FHA2010 Foodamp;HotelAsia2010 Asias largest international food and hospitality trade event returns for its 17th showing from 20 23 April 2010,FHA2010 is expected to feature 2,800 exhibitors from 70 countries.

The exhibition is also recognised for the vastness of its offerings,bringing the latest products and solutions from across the globe to the markets in the region.

The consolidation of the event reflects the optimism in the Asian economy,particularly in its food,hospitality and travel industries.

The Asia Pacific international arrival numbers are expected to see a healthy four to five per cent growth between 2009 and 2011,with the main expansion occurring from 2010 onwards Pacific Asia Travel Association PATA 8211; 2009-2011 Tourism Forecasts.

New trade opportunities are surfacing as emergent countries from Asia further open their doors to foreign trade activities,and lower airfares brought on by the emergence of budget carriers have boosted demand for travel and hotels in the region.

The forecast for India looks bright as the hotel industry is adding over 90,000 more rooms across the country in the next five years to meet the demand,with Indian and international hotel chains expanding their businesses in the country. According to the Tourism Satellite Accounting TSA research report in March 2009,India is projected to become the fifth fastest growing business travel destination from 2010-2019,with an estimated real growth rate of 7.6 per cent.
