India Securities Ltd (ISL) today said one of its promoters,Essar Capital,has bought 4.8 crore additional shares worth Rs 293.28 crore in the company from another promoter Essar Teleholdings.
With the latest transaction,the shareholding of Essar Capital in ISL is understood to have increased to 38.83 per cent.
The transaction,which happened on September 9,is part of inter se transfer of shares from Essar Teleholdings to Essar Capital.
In a regulatory filing,ISL said Essar Capital has purchase an additional 4.8 crore shares worth Rs 293.28 crore,at a price of Rs 61.1 per piece.
ISL in a regulatory on September 7 had said that Essar Capital had raised its stake to 33.35 per cent.
At the end of the June quarter,Essar Capital held 16.91 per cent stake in ISL.
Promoters of ISL — Essar Teleholdings and Essar Capital — held about 75 per cent stake in ISL,at the end of June quarter. Out of the total,Essar Teleholdings had 58.06 per cent stake in the company.
