Sonam Kapoor was recently hospitalised. The actress has been having a hectic work schedule and severe exhaustion took over and she fainted. She had to be admitted to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai for a check-up. The actress,who was also running a temperature,was returning from Dubai where she had been for the promotion of Thank You. She landed in Mumbai and collapsed due to fatigue. Her mother Sunita and sister Rhea were with her.

Sushmita Sen met the Dalai Lama,the Tibetan spiritual leader,to seek his blessings in Dharamsala. Dressed in a traditional maroon robe,the Nobel Peace Prize winner presented her a khata,a traditional white robe given by the Tibetans in honour.
Visiting homeland
Shilpa Shetty recently visited her ancestral house at Mudaladi near the famous Durga Parameshwari Temple at Kateel,near Mangalore. She made this trip after a gap of two years as the house was being renovated. She was accompanied by her husband Raj Kundra,their first trip after marriage. The couple visited the Durga Parameshwari Temple and the Jarandaya Temple and even performed a naga pooja near Mudaladi. They had a meal prepared by her mother Sunandas aunt Kamala,consisting of kori roti,seer fish fry,idli,rice and payasam.
Convicted
A Mumbai court recently convicted Shiney Ahuja to seven years in jail on charges of raping his 20-year-old domestic maid. The Bombay High Court had earlier in October 2009 granted bail to him. Ahuja was arrested on June 15 after preliminary medical tests on the girl confirmed sexual assault. He was charged under the Indian Penal Code IPC Section 376 with rape,along with wrongful restraint and intimidation. Ahuja continued to maintain his innocence in the case.
