JEE Main 2026 January City Slip: When is NTA releasing JEE Main Session 1 city intimation slips?

JEE Main 2026 Session 1 City Intimation Slip: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will start the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) 2026 session 1 exam for paper 1 (BE/ BTech) and paper 2A and 2B (BArch and BPlanning papers) from January 21. It is expected to release the city intimation slips of the JEE Main 2025 session 1 exam in the first week of January, 2026. The city intimation slip will be active on the JEE Main 2026 official website – jeemain.nta.nic.in.

JEE Advanced 2026 Detailed notification Out

The JEE Main 2026 session 1 exam will continue till January 31.

While the JEE Main city intimation slip will tentatively be released in the first week of January, the JEE Main admit cards will be released three to four days before the start of the exams. The result for the January session of JEE Main 2026 will be declared on February 12.

While applying for the JEE Main 2026, candidates were able to select up to a maximum of four cities of their choice within the states provided in their present and permanent address. All efforts will be made to allot the city of examination to the candidates in order of choice opted by them in their online JEE Main 2026 application form, NTA said, adding that due to administrative or logistic reasons, a different city can also be allotted.

“In cases, there are very few candidates from a City, the NTA reserves the right to merge one, two or more cities. The decision of the NTA regarding the allotment of the City/Centre shall be final. No further correspondence or request shall be entertained in such a case,” it said.

For foreign candidates as well, the choice of cities will be based on their present and permanent address.

The NTA also said that it will make all efforts to consider the comfort and convenience of candidates, including PwD/ PwBD Candidates while allotting JEE Main 2026 January session exam centre.
