Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific has announced the launch of TLC,a premiere lifestyle channel,which will replace Discovery Travel amp; Living from September 1.

Rahul Johri,senior vice president amp; general manager,India,Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific said,TLC marks the beginning of a refreshing journey. It will add a new dimension to lifestyle programming by introducing innovative formats,spunkier hosts and swankier locales; promising ultimate viewing experience.

The new robust programming line-up on TLC,with over 150 hours of content includes 15 premiere shows,six new hosts,11 new seasons and innovative genres such as extreme adventure,family and makeovers.

Discovery Networks Asia-Pacifics current portfolio of six networks in India includes Discovery Channel,Animal Planet,Discovery Science,Discovery HD World,Discovery Turbo and now TLC. Widely distributed,TLC will reach 50 million subscribers in 2010 across Indian subcontinent.
