The Mumbai Police Crime Branch on Tuesday filed a second supplementary chargesheet with additional evidence against two accused Jigna Vora and Deepak Sisodia in the J Dey murder case. So far,the police have arrested 11 persons in the Mid-Day journalists murder case.
The 121-page supplementary chargesheet comprises statements of people working in the Human Resources HR department of the Asian Age newspaper in Mumbai,where Vora was working. According to the police,Vora had helped and aided fugitive gangster Chhota Rajan to get vital information on Dey.
The chargesheet filed on Tuesday states that an Asian Age HR personnel said that Vora who had gone on leave for over a week just a few days before Dey was killed was not granted sanction by the HR department for the leave. I had not received any leave application, the witness claims. The police case is that Vora had left for Sikkim just days before Deys murder.
The chargesheet also has statements of two persons whose phone Sisodia was using.
