The National Consumer Helpline (NCH) received 12,148 calls in May this year,with majority of complaints coming from Delhi.
In addition to these telephonic calls or complaints,671 complaints were also received through online complaint system on NCH website.
The maximum calls were received from Delhi followed by Uttar Pradesh,Maharashtra,Haryana,Rajasthan,Gujarat,West Bengal,Bihar,Madhya Pradesh and Punjab,an official release said today.
The maximum complaints,16.34 per cent,were recorded for products followed by telecom,banking,LPG,legal,e-commerce and education.
As per feedback received from 1,293 callers,1,074 complaints were resolved under convergence with various companies.
Consumers from across the country can access the toll- free National Consumer Help Line No 1800-11-400 and seek telephonic counseling for consumer related problems faced by them.
The NCH also provides information,advice and guidance related to consumer issues.
