The Congress in Karnataka focussed on urban youth with audio-visual and Internet-based election campaign here on Monday and promised to be a party with a new difference.

This time I feel that the Congress party will be brought back. This will be a Congress with a new vision, one that will make a new difference to the younger generation, said State Congress president and a CM aspirant G Parameshwara.

The party also made a promise of clean administration. The states that have focused on clean administration are the states that are progressing in the country, he said. The focus of the Congress party would be on social justice, communal harmony, and securing the futures of youth and women,he said.

The state Congress unit president said his party is trying to adapt to a changing world where the aspirations of a large number of literate youths need to be addressed immediately. Despite only three youth Congress representatives getting on to the first list of 177 candidates for the polls,Parameshwara said 67 candidates were below the age of 45. Whether it is caste system or corruption it is the younger generation and women who can correct the system, he said.
