Cong not impressed with CMs work ethics

The state government has made it compulsory for university and college lecturers to spend at least one hour in their institutions library. This is obviously to ensure that the teachers continue with their learning process. The authorities have been asked to maintain a separate register in the library to ensure that the lecturers dont skip their daily visits. Also,the circular says that the teachers have to teach 40 hours every week. However,it does not clarify whether the library-hour is part of the new workload. Needless to say,gossiping during free time will soon become a thing of the past for some lecturers in Madhya Pradesh.

Now cosmetics on sale in ration shops

Ration shops in the state are all set to undergo a metamorphosis. The neighbourhood shops,meant for selling cheap food grains to below poverty line BPL families and lacking the polish and gloss of the upmarket stores,will now also start stocking items like soaps and cosmetics. An FMCG major has showed interest in tying up with Madhya Pradeshs Food and Civil Supplies Department to sell toiletries and cosmetics through these shops. The shop-owner will be free to sell the non-PDS products at current market rates. However,it remains to be seen whether the consumers will buy these items from ration shops or not.

No love jehad this,only a love story

It was far from love jehad but by invoking the term a Muslim family has succeeded in getting its son back from Kashmir Valley. A local Muslim boy was in love with a Kashmiri girl studying in Bhopal. Though his family objected to his affair with a girl older to him,he remained defiant and disappeared from Bhopal. The family approached the police,alleging that the girl had indoctrinated him to join jehad. The police maintained that it was a case of love affair and released the girl after questioning,but the local media lapped up the jehad angle. The boy clarified that all he wanted was admission in an institution there so that he could remain close to the girl.
