CII MEET TURNS INTO A GIANT BEEHIVE

Rahul Gandhis presence at the annual general meeting of CII apparently made the event a huge success,with many showing sudden interest once Gandhis participation was confirmed. Special requests were sent by many to be accommodated at the function. The high turnout resulted in around 160 participants including journalists having to leave due to the lack of parking space at the venue and the surrounding radius of 3-4 km as well on the first day of the AGM.

Staff crunch delays fdi note

The DIPP has once again failed to release the consolidated circular on FDI policy for 2013-14 by April 1 . While the delay is being seen as an unnecessary irritant at a time when the government wants to attract investors,those in the know say that it is largely because of administrative reasons. The DIPP is understood to be facing a minor staff crunch as a few of the key officials in the department moved out.
