Chopper not allowed to land: Khurshid

Union Minister Salman Khurshid on Sunday accused Faizabad district administration of denying permission to land his chopper in Kumarganj area in Milkipur Assembly constituency at the behest of Mayawati government,a charge denied by local authorities. Congress sources said Khurshids helicopter hovered over Kumarganj where he was scheduled to address a rally but the pilot was denied permission to land. Milkipur SDM Amrit Lal and DSP S N Singh,however,said a helipad was prepared at the site and senior officials were present on the spot but the pilot expressed inability to land. They said alternative spots were suggested,but the pilot headed towards Ambedkar Nagar.
