Cardamom prices fell by 3 per cent to Rs 775.60 per kg in futures trade today on speculators selling following slackened demand in the spot markets against adequate stocks position.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange,cardamom for September delivery fell by Rs 24,or 3 per cent,to Rs 775.60 per kg,with a business turnover of 118 lots.
Similarly,the spice for delivery in October lost Rs 17.10,or 1.74 per cent,to Rs 968 per kg,with a business turnover of 336 lots.
Marketmen said adequate stocks availability in the physical market against subdued demand mainly kept pressure on cardamom prices.
