GIVING PRIORITY TO WOMENS SAFETY

It is not always that a meeting called by road transport ministry with state transport departments discusses the issue of women safety. In a recent meeting called to discuss the computerisation in the transport sector,the issue of women safety was not only discussed but a good twenty minutes of the days schedule was allotted to discuss measures to check crime against women. If other departments too think on these lines,it would go a long way to improving womens safety.
