Iceland eruption ending,German airports reopen
REYKJAVIK: Icelands volcanic eruption has died down and is no longer spewing out ash,officials said Wednesday and airlines began to get back to normal after cancelling about 1,000 flights in Europe. Four German airports Bremen,Hamburg and Berlins Tegel and Schoenefeld closed on Wednesday only to be reopened hours later.

Bomb items found on Indonesia airport
SURABAYA: Officials said a plastic bag with liquid materials used to make explosives materials were found in an airport lounge after a threat was made against flights in Indonesia. A Transport Ministry spokesman said threat was faxed to state-run Garuda Airlines.
7 experts to be tried over 2009 Italy quake
ROME: Seven scientists and other experts were indicted on manslaughter charges Wednesday for not warning residents before a devastating earthquake that killed more than 300 people in Italy in 2009. Defence lawyers condemned the charges,saying its impossible to predict earthquakes. Judge Giuseppe Romano Gargarella ordered the members of governments Great Risks commission to go on trial on September 20.
