• Do not allow your feelings to remain pent up. It helps reduce stress if you discuss things with friends and elders. Even professional counsellors and spiritual gurus can be a big help. Negative feelings with no appropriate outlet can result in physical harm — ranging from headaches, blood pressure disturbances, gastric ulcers and much more.

• Being obsessive about anything is not good,be it work or home. Try and focus on the good things that life has offered for you.

• Use any method that suits you as an individual to relax. Exercising or playing a game may help some people but may not work for others. Even relaxing on a park bench,or near a water body or watching children play can be helpful. You could try deep breathing exercises or stretching. Even reading can be a great stress-buster.
