BJP to complain to EC about Cong’s ‘feku’ ads targeting Modi in MP

Party sources claimed Modi’s reply is likely to be submitted Wednesday before the deadline is over.

While BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi is set to deny any violation of the model code of conduct with his “khooni panja” remarks during an election rally in Chhattisgarh, the party has decided to complain to the Election Commission against the Congress for advertisements issued by the Madhya Pradesh Congress casting veiled aspersions against Modi, claiming it a violation of the model code.

Party sources claimed Modi’s reply is likely to be submitted Wednesday before the deadline is over. Party leaders,in this context, reasoned that Modi’s “khooni panja” was a metaphorical reference in context to allegedly violent Congress-led regime that came to power soon after Chhattisgarh was carved out of Madhya Pradesh.

The BJP announced to move the EC for Madhya Pradesh Congress allegedly violating the model code issuing advertisements that take a veiled dig at Modi using the word ‘feku’ — a reference alleging falsehoods — a moniker propagated by Congress supporters in social media to take on Modi supporters on the internet.

“We will go to the Election Commission against Madhya Pradesh Congress campaign in print media,” BJP vice-president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi announced pointing to the advertisements purpotedly issued by MP Congress that refers to the ‘feku of Gujarat’.
