BJP hits back at Digvijaya for remarks on Shah Ayodhya visit,Modi speech

While the BJP hit out at Singh alleging he has lost his mental balance, the Congress backed him suggesting that his five tweets should be read in its entirety

A day after blasts struck the Mahabodhi temple,Congress general secretary Digvijaya Singh triggered a controversy wondering whether there was a connection between the attack and BJP general secretary Amit Shahs visit to Ayodhya and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modis betrayers will be taught a lesson message to Bihar CM

Nitish Kumar.

While the BJP hit out at Singh alleging he has lost his mental balance, the Congress backed him suggesting that his five tweets should be read in its entirety.

In his tweets,Singh hit out at the BJP first for suggesting that the law and order situation has become very bad in Bihar and alleging that the state government ignored intelligence alerts. Arent they suggesting a Muslim involvement without full investigation? Flip side of this. Amit Shah promises a Grand Temple at Ayodhya. Modi addresses Bihar BJP workers and asks them to teach Nitish a lesson. Next day Bomb Blasts at Mahabodhi Temple at Bodhgaya. Is there a connect? I dont know. ALLOW NIA TO COMPLETE INVESTIGATION PLEASE ! he tweeted.

The remarks drew instant objection from the BJP and RSS which jumped to Modis defence.

The RSS hit out at the Centre with Sanghs propaganda chief Manmohan Vaidya alleging that terrorism is on the rise because of lack of political will on the part of Congress-led government to tackle it. The BJP was more acerbic. Digvijaya sirfira bolta hain He talks as if he has lost his balance, BJP leader Ananth Kumar said.

Congress spokesperson Bhakta Charan Das said the party believes there should be no kite flying on such an incident. The tweets of Singh should not be read in isolation. If you go through the five tweets in its entirety8230;,he has nowhere said like you are reading in his tweets, he said. The partys view is that we would not like to point finger at anyone or any agency before investigations are over, he said, adding that Singhs tweets reflect this position. All parties should desist from politicising the incident. Singh has not made any allegation against anyone, Das said.
