With BJP president Rajnath Singh on Thursday dissolving various Lok Sabha poll-related committees,party leaders who had gained prominence during elections,returned to their former responsibilities. Sudhanshu Mittal,whose appointment as sah prabhari for the Northeast had caused a huge row between Rajnath and party general secretary Arun Jaitley,threatening to derail the party campaign,too,stands relieved of his responsibilities.
Three additional spokespersons appointed during elections,Balbir Punj,S S Ahluwalia,and Siddharth Nath Singh,too,have been divested of their responsibilities. L K Advani aide,Sudheendhra Kulkarni,also loses his position as a member of the election management and publicity committees. Jaitley,who headed the election management committee,returns to his regular job of party general secretary.
