Bhanwari Devi: Prime suspect says being framed

Sources in the Jodhpur police said Bishnoi and another accused Baldev Ram,who are both in judicial custody now,had confessed to kidnapping Devi on September 1 under Shahabuddins orders.

Baldev Ram,during questioning,admitted to abducting Devi on September 1. He said he was working under Shahabuddin and the car used for the kidnapping belonged to Shahabuddin as well, said a senior police official.

Meanwhile,a Jodhpur court on Monday granted the CBI six days police remand,till October 31,to question Shahabuddin.

Shahabuddins advocate Jagmal Chowdhary said they had also submitted two applications for Shahabuddins medical check every 48 hours and for his family to be allowed to visit him in the CBI lock-up in Jodhpur.
