Bagwe row:Chavan,Patil broker peace

Chief Minister Ashok Chavan and Home Minister RR Patil have stepped in to broker a truce between Minister of State for Home Ramesh Bagwe and Pune Commissioner of Police Satyapal Singh.

Bagwe confirmed the development and said he had met Patil and Singh at the Pune airport on Saturday. We have decided to bring down the curtains on the controversy, he said,adding that Congress leaders like Chavan,MPCC president Manikrao Thakre and Pune MP Suresh Kalmadi had intervened in the matter,prompting Patil to hold the meeting.

Bagwe said Patil had brokered peace between him and Singh,but refused to give out details. I do not want to comment on it what transpired in the meeting, he added.
