Assault on student leader: HC rejects ministers plea seeking quashing of FIR

The Allahabad High Court on Monday disposed of a petition of central ministers Jitin Prasada and R P N Singh and others,seeking quashing of the FIR registered against them in connection with the alleged assault on a student leader during Congress leader Rahul Gandhis rally on November 14,2011.

A Division Bench of Justices Ravindra Singh and Anil Kumar Agarwal disposed of the petition after the state informed it that the police have filed a final report and the magistrate concerned has accepted the same.
