In yet another application moved before the special CBI court seeking enhanced personal security inside the Sabarmati Central Jail,suspended DSP Narendra Amin has said that the jail authorities have put him in a barrack in an open ground like a sitting duck where anything can happen to him.
Amin had earlier too approached the court for his security especially after moving an application to turn approver in the case. The jail authorities,regarding his earlier applications expressing apprehensions about his security inside the jail,had appraised the court on the security measurements taken.
Amin on Thursday said security measures taken by the jail authorities were not adequate. He said that he is kept locked inside the Shahid Bhagat Singh barrack and even his minimum mobility has been checked by the authorities. The location of the barrack is such that anybody can keep a watch on him all through the day and night,he added.
Amin also mentioned that an undertrial recently lodged at Sabarmati jail had alleged that three jail officials of had offered him Rs 10 lakh to kill Amin.
CBI counsel also supported the application and demanded that the court order an independent inquiry into the allegations of conspiracy to kill Amin inside the jail.
The CBI court has fixed Friday for hearing on Amins application.
