The abductors of an American working for UNHCR in Pakistan on Saturday issued a video in which he sought the world bodys help for his release. John Solecki, who was kidnapped in Quetta on February 2,was shown blindfolded in the video that was apparently shot with a mobile phone.

It is a message for the UN. I am not feeling well. I am sick. I am in trouble, Solecki said. Please help resolve the problem soon so I can gain my relief, he added.

Several TV news channels aired the video, which was delivered to a local news agency in Quetta. The kidnappers set three demands for Soleckis release release of 141 Baloch women within 72 hours, the recovery of 6,000 missing Baloch nationals and the solution of the problems of Balochistan province through the UN Charter.

Pakistan, meanwhile, said it had some good leads in the effort to free Solecki.
