2G: SC judge recuses from hearing case

Supreme Court judge,Justice AR Dave,on Thursday recused from hearing the appeals of Bharti Airtel CMD Sunil Bharti Mittal and Essar Group promoter Ravi Ruia against summons in the case linked to the allocation of additional 2G spectrum in 2002. Justice Vikramjit Sen had recused from hearing the matter on Monday. Chief Justice Altamas Kabir said that a new bench will be constituted to hear the matter. The proceedings pending before the 2G trial court will remain adjourned for a week. The court will take up the matter next week to adjudicate the challenge to the summon order.
