HARARE, MARCH 21: A stubborn record eighth-wicket stand of 110 between Guy Whittall and Bryan Strang pulled Zimbabwe out of trouble on the first day of the second cricket Test against Pakistan today.

The two beat the previous best of 94 between Alistair Campbell and Heath Streak in the first Test against New Zealand earlier this year in Wellington. Pakistan8217;s Waqar Younis was the best bowler, grabbing four wickets for 47 runs.
