VMC suspends three workers

VADODARA, Sept 1: The Vadodara Municipal Corporation VMC on Wednesday suspended three of its octroi department employees for dereliction of duty as the accused had reportedly allowed unauthorised entry of goods into the city, leading to financial losses for the VMC.

The ones who have been suspended with immediate effect are, Arvind Patel, employed as an assessment officer on the Ajwa road check post, Govind Darji, an assessment officer, and Kachrabhai Kahar, a watchman, both posted at the Bapod check post.
