CHANDIGARH, Jan 29: Veena Yadav of Sarvhitkari School-40, won gold medal in the 400-metre in under-17 girls group in the Chandigarh State Inter-School athletic meet being held at Sector 7 Sports Complex.

Navjeet of Guru Nanak Public School-36, got first positions in 1,500 and 800 metres in the under-19 section.

Gurbir, Narinder and Badal won the 100 metres dash to emerge the fastest runners in the under-19, under-17 and under-14 categories, respectively, in the boys groups.

Aishwarya, a student of BA part II was adjudged the best athlete of the MCM DAV College, Sector 36, in the annual sports day meet held at college premises today.
