Vajralingam8217;s transfer flayed

CHANDIGARH, March 17: A meeting of the executive committee of the Punjab IAS Officers Association today condemned the manner in which G. Vajralingam, Finance Secretary, Union Territory, was repatriated to the parent state of Punjab and demanded cancellation of the same.

The association has written to Punjab Chief Secretary R. S. Mann for seeking his intervention to take up the matter with the Union Government and the UT administration and to get the repatriation cancelled.

B R Bajaj, president of the association stated that though transfer of an employee is the right of the Government, it should not appear to be motivated and mala-fide.
