Vaiko meets PM, says TN situation discussed

Faced with a split in his party, MDMK leader Vaiko on Thursday met PM Singh and is understood to have complained about DMK8217;s alleged involvement in the development. Vaiko, however, refused to say anything about what transpired during his meeting. He simply said he discussed the political situation in Tamil Nadu. The meeting comes a few days after the MDMK leader had written to the PM and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi accusing the DMK, an ally of the ruling UPA coalition, of planning to cause 8220;terrific8221; damage to his party. In identical letters to Singh and Sonia, Vaiko had alleged that it was learnt that M Karunanidhi allegedly 8220;hatched8221; the conspiracy.
