UT to conduct survey on disabled

CHANDIGARH, Aug 5: The Chandigarh Administration proposes to conduct a survey to ascertain the number and other details of disabled persons, who are permanent residents of Chandigarh.

To be carried out by the UT Social Welfare Department, information would be required for proper formulation of schemes for welfare of disabled persons.

A spokesman of the department stated that persons with disabilities are required to fill up the proforma by September 15 and submit the same to their office. The proforma is available free of cost with municipal councillors, NGOs, sarpacnhes and in the office of Regional Employment Officer and Director, Social Welfare.
