NEW DELHI, SEPT 17: PT Usha was today included in the 64-member strong athletics squad named for the South Asian Federation SAF Games to be held in Kathmandu from September 25-October 4.

Usha, who broke the National 200 metres mark at the recent Lucknow Inter-State meet, returns but star quarter-miler Paramjeet Singh was excluded after rarely figuring in the domestic season after he won the 400m Bronze at the Bangkok Asian Games in December last year.

Asian Games double gold medallist Jyotirmoyee Sikdar, who has since kept away from the domestic meets a niggling ankle injury, also does not figure in the list released by the Amateur Athletic Federation of India here today.

Athletics, one of the showpiece events in the 12-discipline games, is scheduled to be held from September 26-29.

The athletic contingent comprises 39 men, 25 women and five coaches.
