CHANDIGARH, Sept, 30: Eight students of the Punjab Public School PPS, Nabha, have been awarded scholarships for higher studies in the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, USA, according to Colonel DrD.S. Khera, the headmaster of the school. The scholarship award scheme had been instituted by Darshan Singh Dhaliwal, a non-resident Indian, in the memory of his father late Kartar Singh Rakhara. Dhaliwal was an old student of the PPS.

Every year 10 outstanding students of the PPS, would be awarded scholarships who passed their ISC class XII. Expressing his happiness, the headmaster said that the selected students of school would be able to pursue higher studies in the US for a period of four years under the scholarship scheme, bringing glory to the nation.
