Pakistan’s army is accusing the U.S.-led coalition of killing 11 Pakistani troops in an airstrike along the volatile Afghan border.
An army statement said the incident late Tuesday in Mohmand tribal region “had hit at the very basis of cooperation” between the two countries in the war on terror.
It said a strong protest has been launched by the Pakistan army, which reserved “the right to protect our citizens and soldiers against aggression.”
The U.S. military has so far declined to comment on the incident.
