
PUNE, Oct 28: A 29-year-old lecturer from the Government Polytechnic college was found dead at his Paud Road residence under mysterious circumstances early this morning.
Dinesh Panghate is suspected to have committed suicide as a note saying he was ending life was found lying in his bedroom. According to assistant commissioner Deccan division Dnyaneshwar Chavan, the suicide note said Panghate was ending his life since his seniors had given an adverse remark in their confidential report.
Dinesh was staying along with his parents at a flat in the Indira Shankar Nagari Housing Society on the Paud Road. His father Gajanan had found him lying still in his bedroom around 4 am.
Alarmed, the family shifted Dinesh to the Sassoon hospital where the young teacher was proclaimed dead on arrival. When queried by the doctors at the hospital, Gajanan expressed suspicion that his son had committed suicide by consuming poison.
On being tipped off by the Sassoon hospital officials, the Kothrud police went to the hospital and prepared an inquest panchnama report. Later, a post-mortem was performed.
The exact reason behind the young lecturer8217;s death could not be ascertained as the report of his post-mortem is still awaited. Dinesh8217;s viscera has been preserved.
