
LUCKNOW, July 10: The Cabinet sub-committee on Uttaranchal today did not touch the contentious issue of excluding Udham Singh Nagar in the proposed new hill state.
The sub-committee held its all important meeting today under the chairmanship of state’s Tourism and PWD Minister Kalraj Misra.
Briefing media persons later, Misra said the matter of excluding Udham singh Nagar did not figure in the meeting as none of the members raised this issue.
Misra also denied reports that the Centre has set any guideline on the matter following the Akali Dal’s demand to exclude it from the proposed new state.
