PATIALA, Dec 8: The call for the December 11 strike evoked mixed response in the Pepsu Roadways Transport Corporation here. Whereas the Ministerial Services Union today supported the strike call, the PRTC Employees Union INTUC, PRTC Karmchari Dal and PRTC SC/BC Union have decided against the proposed strike terming it as politically motivated.

In a statement here today, general secretary of the PRTC Ministerial Services Union, HQ, Patiala Hari Singh Chamak said that the union had decided to participate in the strike because of the anti-employees attitude of the corporation authorities. He said that the management had failed to accept even the genuine demands of its employees.

Chamak said that if the management failed to accept the long pending demands of its employees soon, the union would organise a rally of ministerial employees here in the second week of next month.

On the other hand, in a joint statement, the PRTC Karmchari Dal, SC/BC Union, PRTC Employees Union INTUC leaders said that the three unions have decided not to participate.
