DUBAI, JAN 9: Ukraine dethroned defending champions India with an emphatic 3-1 victory in the final of the fourth Rashid International Volleyball Championship last night.

Three-time champions India, who stormed into the title clash defeating arch rivals Pakistan in the semifinals, went down 16-17, 9-15, 15-10, 15-2 to world Number 10 Ukraine.

The Indian spikers who had lost their opening encounter to the CIS Republic could never really measure up to their rivals who entered the final with an all-win record.
