8226; Tissues unboxed and/or handkerchiefs
8226; Keys but no electrical key fobs
8226; All passengers to be hand searched, footwear and all items being carried will go through X-ray
8226; Passengers boarding flights to US and all items being carried will be subjected to secondary search at boarding gate
In line with the tough security measures being put in place at UK airports, the Indian government has decided to strengthen baggage control measures. To begin with, the rule for one hand baggage will be enforced strictly.
According to the Civil Aviation Ministry, other measures will be gradually introduced. These would include changes in baggage screening procedure and a revision of list of items that can be allowed inside a plane.
