New Delhi, June 24: Top seed Danai Udomchoke of Thailand beat India’s Harsh Mankad in straight sets to stamp his mark of superiority in the ITF men’s Satellite tennis championship here on Saturday. Udomchoke had also won the second leg at Bangalore beating Mankad in the final.

The match started on a fast pace as Udomchoke took just 45 seconds to win the first game.

For the Mumbai lad it was an inauspicious beginning as he started his serve with a double fault but managed to win the game after some hiccups.

Mankad took his revenge in the next game and showed what a gutsy player he can be hitting a shot down the line and one across the court to break Udomchoke’s serve and make it 4-5.

But all that was squandered in the tenth game when Mankad lost his serve and set 4-6.

Udomchoke went into the second set with great enthusiasm. He broke Mankad’s serve in the fourth game and held on to his serve in the fifth to take a 4-1 lead. At that score the match was held up for some time because of rain.

Mankad tried hard to comeback into the game but by that time it was too late.
