CHANDIGARH, AUG 16: With only two days left for filing of nominations for the lone Chandigarh Lok Sabha seat, two independent candidates filed their nominations today, taking the total tally to three. They were Col Harsharan Singh retd of Rashtriya Raksha Dal and Gurvinder Kaur Sodhi.
The two main contestants, Krishan Lal Sharma of the BJP and Pawan Kumar Bansal of the Congress will file their nominations on August 18, the last day for nominations. Mata Ram Dhiman, the BSP candidate, was the only candidate who had filed his nomination papers till yesterday.
