PUNE, Oct 1: Two persons were killed and one was injured in two recorded accidents in city on Wednesday.

Mohan Anand Swamy (18) was killed and his friend Vivek Baban Thorat was injured when a tempo brushed aside their cycle on Pune-Ahmednagar Road. Swamy and Thorat were going toward Bund Garden from Parnakuti Chowk when the tempo against their cycle.

Swamy was killed on the spot. Thorat was discharged after first aid at a nearby hospital.

Meanwhile, the Yerawada police have arrested the tempo driver Ramesh R Thite (30) of Jejuri.An unidentified cyclist was killed when an unidentified vehicle dashed against his cycle near CIRT at Bhosari on Pune-Nashik Road. The unidentified driver sped away after the mishap, Bhosari police said.
