VADODARA, Sept 14: To meet the Diwali rush, Western Railways will operate two holiday specials between Mumbai and Porbander and another between Mumbai and Gandhidham once a week and three times a week respectively.

The 957/958 Mumbai-Porbander down train will leave Mumbai at 2 p.m. and arrive at Porbander at 10.15 a.m. The Up train will depart from Porbander at 1 p.m. and reach Mumbai at 10.45 a.m.

The 959/960 Mumbai-Gandhidham train will leave Mumbai at 2 p.m. and arrive at Gandhidham at 6.25 a.m, while the Up train will depart from Gandhidham at 6 p.m. and arrive at Mumbai at 10.45 a.m.

The railways have also decided to introduce a special train between Mumbai and Ajmer on the occasion of Khwaja Urs. The 979 Dn train will depart from Mumbai at 12.55 p.m. and arrive at Bharuch at 5.55 p.m, at Vadodara at 7.35 a.m., at Anand at 8.16 p.m. and reach Ajmer at 8.10 a.m.

The Up direction train will leave Ajmer at 4.50 p.m.; reach Nadiad at 4.00 a.m.; Anand at 4.20 a.m; and Vadodara at 5.12 a.m.

The railways have also approved the halt of the Bandra terminal Bikaner Express at Anand and Nadiad.
