The second arrest was made near Bardari village in Garhwa district. A team of policemen led by Sub-Inspector Manish Chandra was patrolling on Sunday morning when CPIMaoist8217;s women wing Area Commander Vineeta alias Simpy 26 was seen riding pillion on a motorbike. 8220;Her friend was riding the bike. As soon as they saw us, they tried to flee, but we were successful in catching them,8221; said Chandra.

Vineeta, active in Jharkhand-Chhattisgarh border areas, is wanted in 22 murder cases and 37 cases of encounter with the police.

During her interrogation by Garhwa SP Saket Singh, Vineeta, who was sent to jail on Monday, admitted that she was a part of the CPIMaoist8217;s squad which had planted a landmine which killed six police personnel at Saro valley in the district on September 12 and looted 185 rifles from a police barrack in Giridih on July 14 last year.

8220;She also confessed that after joining the outfit, she had slit the throat of three police informers,8221; informed the SP.
