CHANDIGARH, JUNE 8: In an anti-encroachment drive by the UT Estate Office, the Enforcement staff today demolished 25 mud houses built in unacquired piece of land in Sector 52.
Conducted under the direction of SDM Ashish Kundar, the drive began at 11 a.m. and lasted for two hours. As a precautionary measure, police force was also deployed.

Executive magistrate K.S. Gill, who supervised the operation, claimed that the operation was peaceful and no untoward incident was reported. He said the operation was undertaken on the information provided by police officials on beat duty.
