Central Board of Film Certification Board CBFC member and ex-BJP MP and TV actor Arvind Trivedi has been asked to take temporary charge of the Board after the Information and Broadcasting Ministry accepted chairman Vijay Anand8217;s resignation.

Anand8217;s resignation came as a result of his run-in with the Ministry over his views on showing pornographic films in designated cinema halls.

While Anand said this was just one of the many views expressed by film-makers as part of an exercise to update the 1952 Cinematography Act, the Ministry did not take kindly to the proposals being made public.
