NEW DELHI, Aug 2: In a significant move, Trinamool Congress today asked the Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress to withdraw their nominees and for postponement of Tuesday8217;s deputy speaker8217;s elections so that a consensus could be evolved.

A day before filing of nominations for the election, party leader Mamata Banerjee told a press conference here that she had conveyed her sentiments both to Prime Minister AB Vajpayee and to Congress leaders that the House should not be divided on the issue. The Trinamool Congress has seven members in the Lok Sabha.
